Performance on Pharmacy Licensure Exam (NAPLEX)
Doctor of Pharmacy graduates must successfully pass the North American Boards of Pharmacy Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) to practice pharmacy in the United States. Our graduates consistently perform above the state and national averages on this examination.
Professional Graduation Rates and Time to Completion
Student success at the Winkle College of Pharmacy is monitored continuously. Student who encounter academic difficulty are identified through "early detection" so that academic support and counseling can be provided in a timely manner. Tutoring services provide students with additional resources to assist with their performance, especially as they transition from pre-pharmacy to the professional program. The overall attrition (drop out) rate is less than 3% from our programs.
In 2012, 98 students were admitted into the program with a target graduation of 2016. In 2016, 93% of students graduated on time. For those with delayed graduation (n=7), 3 were due to academic difficulty, 1 was due to a medical issue, and 3 for personal reasons.
