Application Procedure for Admission

How long does it take to complete the Graduate Certificate?

The Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Leadership will be awarded after successful completion of 15 credit hours (of specific coursework) and is usually obtained in less than 3 semesters.

How long does it take to complete the Master's Program?

The Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership will be awarded after successful completion of 30 credit hours (of specific coursework) and is usually obtained in approximately 2 years.

When are the deadlines for applying to the program?

Applications are accepted for any start term - Fall, Spring, or Summer. Application deadlines are as follows:

  • Fall Semester – August 15
  • Spring Semester – December 15
  • Summer Semester – April 15

If I don't have a pharmacy degree, am I still eligible to apply to the Pharmacy Leadership graduate program?

No, admission to the Pharmacy Leadership Graduate Certificate and Master's Degree both require a BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Can I start taking classes prior to matriculation into the Graduate Certificate?

Contact Program Director for special requests.

What are the minimum GPA requirements for admission?

A preferred minimum 3.0 GPA is required for admission. Once accepted, you must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain in the program.

Is the GRE required for admission?

The GRE is not required for admission into the Pharmacy Leadership Graduate Certificate or Master's Degree. A BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.

Are letters of recommendation required to come from former teachers/professors?

We require a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation – these can be written by former professors and current/former employers. Letters may also be written by others within the professional community who can provide validation of your professional and/or academic abilities.

Can international students apply?

Yes! The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all applicants whose native language is not English. If you have earned an undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. college/university, this requirement will be waived. The minimum TOEFL score for admission is 90 on the internet-based test (IBT).

The IELTS can be taken in place of TOEFL. The minimum required IELTS score is 6.5.

Foreign applicants whose transcripts are not easily read may be asked to submit a full evaluation of transcripts by a U.S. agency - World Education Services is an option.
