Prospective Pharm. D. Student

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Requirements

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) program is the second part of the curriculum you must complete to earn the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree is awarded on the basis of successful completion of a total of 317 quarter hours. The Pharm. D. program generally takes four years to complete.

You may be accepted into this program only after you have completed the pre-pharmacy program. Please note that completion of the pre-pharmacy program does not guarantee you admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Within the Doctor of Pharmacy program, you cannot take required Pharmacy courses on a pass/fail basis (unless the course is specifically offered with a pass/fail option). You can take one non-pharmacy class per quarter on a pass/fail basis with the permission of the instructor. You must earn a "C" or better in all classes and maintain an overall quality point average above 2.5.
