Daniel Acosta, Jr. was the 4th dean of the University of Cincinnati’s James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy from 1996 to 2011 where he established the 6-year PharmD program and the first distance learning program with P&G for its employees to receive a graduate degree in the Pharmaceutical Sciences. He also established one of the nation’s first  online Masters in Drug Development. He was a member of the University of Texas College of Pharmacy faculty (1974-1996) where he helped develop a nationally ranked program in toxicology as the founding Director of the Graduate Toxicology Training Program. Dr. Acosta was selected as the Deputy Director for Research at the FDA’s National Center for Toxicology Research in 2014 and retired in 2019. As Deputy Director, he helped manage a research budget of nearly $100 million and helped supervised over 200 scientists at NCTR. He is Dean Emeritus of Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Texas at Austin.

Lydia Bailey, PharmD, BCACP, is the Pharmacy Operations Manager for St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Charitable Pharmacy in Cincinnati, Ohio. The SVDP Charitable Pharmacy opened in 2006 and has filled over 800,000 prescriptions valued at over $115 million free of charge for uninsured and underinsured neighbors in need. Lydia graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2015 and completed her PGY1 residency training with the University of Cincinnati in their Underserved Care program at SVDP Charitable Pharmacy. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and is passionate about improving the lives of neighbors in need through motivational interviewing and outcomes-based care. Outside of work, Lydia enjoys the full life of mothering her 4, soon to be 5, children.

Dr. Drach is professor emeritus at the University of Michigan, where he held faculty positions in the School of Dentistry and College of Pharmacy. After working as a research scientist at Parke, Davis & Company in Ann Arbor, he joined the faculty of the University of Michigan in 1970 where he taught pharmacology, aspects of virology and related subjects. Gary A. Thompson, PhD, FAAPS, FCP, is Principal for GA Thompson Consulting, LLC and Adjunct Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Pharmacy with over 40 years of pharmaceutical experience in Clinical Pharmacology and strategic Drug Development. Dr. Thompson received a BS Pharm and a Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics/Biopharmaceutics from University of Cincinnati.  He has a broad range of interests including the practical implementation of theoretical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic principles and mathematical modeling to improve overall drug development. He has published over 110 journal articles, book chapters and abstracts in Clinical Pharmacology. In addition to his contributions to the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Thompson has also contributed to the scientific development within Clinical Pharmacology as recognized by his election to Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society, being the recipient of a Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology (Bobenheim am Berg, Germany)and ultimately being elected a Fellow of both AAPS and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
