Scholarships & Financial Aid
We understand that pursuing your education is a significant investment, and we're committed to helping you navigate the financial aspects of your academic journey. Whether you're looking for information on financial aid or scholarships specific to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or MS/PhD programs, we've got you covered.
Financial Aid for PharmD Program
For PharmD students, federal financial aid eligibility depends on your status. Initially, students with less than 72 semester hours at the University of Cincinnati (UC) are classified as undergraduate students for aid purposes. You should not indicate graduate student status when completing the FAFSA. If you're not otherwise independent (as defined by federal guidelines), you'll need to provide parent information on the FAFSA.
Undergraduate financial aid may include grants and loans, with Federal Stafford Loan eligibility limited to $2,500 per term for dependent students and $4,166 for independent students. After reaching the 108-hour mark, typically after the fall term of the first professional year, you can request reprocessing of your aid as a graduate student for the remainder of the academic year.
Graduate students in the PharmD program are eligible for up to $33,000 in Federal Stafford Loan annually, subject to the cost of education minus other aid sources. However, graduate students are no longer eligible for federal grants. For detailed information on financial aid related to the PharmD program, please visit the PharmD financial aid page on the UC Student Financial Aid website.
